It Started with a Note
We spent more than a year navigating the housing market, and despite following the traditional steps—hiring a real estate agent, diligently monitoring listings, and submitting multiple bids—we could never close on a house due to limited inventory.
Inspired by a family member’s suggestion, we started leaving notes in mailboxes of off-market houses to inquire about purchasing the houses directly. To our surprise, there was an overwhelmingly positive response to this approach, and we closed on a house shortly thereafter.
This experience motivated us to create a platform to facilitate these direct interactions, fostering transparency in the real estate market. However, along the way, we discovered that real estate alone is a narrow segment that doesn’t address the diverse interests people have in houses, so we built a community for sharing and discovering.
